Becoming a Volunteer for Karitane Linking Families

Karitane Linking Families Volunteer Program provides a strengths focused approach where Volunteers and staff support families in the antenatal period and/or those with children 0-5 years of age living in Fairfield, Bankstown, Liverpool and Macarthur areas.

Support is offered to families of all cultural backgrounds, with priority given to those with Aboriginal status, other cultural and language backgrounds, multiple births and families with a disability. As a Volunteer you will have one to one contact a few hours per week through Home Visiting Research Program (VFC). Karitane provides a six week training program to Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.

Volunteers are encouraged to listen with understanding, maintain confidentiality and make a regular commitment to the families they visit.
