This month we had the pleasure of attending a number of events allowing us to connect with even more members of our community. Our Camden team attended the Camden Kids Fun Day for a day of fun in the sun where our Karitane Nurses were answering questions from parents on all those important questions about sleeping, eating and establishing a routine.
We also joined MP, Dr Mike Freelander, to welcome the babies of the local Macarthur Region. Over fifty families attended the event at Oran Park Town to celebrate new births in the South Western Sydney Community. It was so exciting to connect with these new families and we look forward to supporting them throughout their parenting journey.
Last, but certainly not least, Karitane featured in the advice hub of the Essential Baby and Toddler Show, held over the 22nd – 24th of September in the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. Based in the Advice Hub, our team met hundreds of new and expecting families who all wanted one thing… you guessed it ADVICE! And we were more than happy to share our research based strategies on sleeping, settling, developing routines, feeding, challenging toddler behaviour and how we manage the emotional rollercoaster that is adjusting to being a parent.
Overall it has been an extremely busy and rewarding month connecting with families; mums, dads, aunties, uncles, grandparents and carers who form the great village it takes to raise a child!
