Karitane Kids Behaviour Clinic
Karitane continues to monitor and respond to COVID-19 following all NSW Health guidelines. We offer both face-to-face and virtual services and our team work with each family to match the right service and delivery to each family’s individual needs. The Karitane Kids Behaviour Clinic offers families a variety of evidence-based behavioural treatment strategies to support families with children 3 - 6 years of age with emotional and behavioural challenges. This early intervention service is goal oriented and outcome driven. Treatment strategies are designed to target individual challenges, promote children’s ongoing resilience, and prepare families with a toolbox of strategies to better understand and strengthen healthy development.
Who Uses the Service
The Karitane Kids Behaviour Clinic works with families with children 3 – 6 years of age with behaviour challenges, including:
Disruptive Behaviours
- Tantrums
- Noncompliance
- Verbal and physical aggression
Internalising Behaviours
- Separation anxiety
- Fears and phobias
- School difficulties and avoidance
- Adjustment difficulties
- Depressive symptoms
- Poor attention and focus
- Selective mutism


Age Range
Children 3 – 6 years of age.
How to Start the Process / What You Need to do First
GP’s, Paediatricians and Psychiatrists can refer directly by providing an eligible GP Mental Health Care Plan or specialist referral.
Parents with an eligible referral can call the Karitane Kids Behaviour Clinic on (02) 9794 2364 to book an appointment.
Parents, Caregivers and other professionals can use the online Kartiane referral and we will contact you to discuss your child's suitability for the clinic.
Cost
Medicare bulk billable (no gap) with a Mental Health Care Plan.
