About

Our Early Parenting Centre provides free services for families with children from birth to age 5, offering parents and caregivers vital support and guidance on sleep and settling, age-appropriate routines, multiple babies, breastfeeding, feeding and nutrition, toddler behaviour, adjusting to parenting and pre- and postnatal mental health.

Services Offered

Karitane Parenting Centres
One on one support from a child and family health nurse to help with parenting concerns, including sleep, routines, feeding and more.
Karitane Village Connect For Young Parents
We offer free groups and services to support you and your young child, from pregnancy through to school age.
Young Parents Program Karitane
Our trained volunteers visit you at home or in the community to offer practical support.
Karitane Linking Families Community Program
We offer free groups and services to support you and your young child, from pregnancy through to school age.
Volunteer Family Connect Service
Our trained volunteers visit you at home or in the community to offer practical support.
Online Home Visit Service Karitane
A multidisciplinary team, including child and family health nurses, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists.
Virtual Residential Care Visits
A multidisciplinary team, including child and family health nurses, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists.
Post Partum Depression
We’re here to help you understand what’s affecting your mental health, whether it’s low mood, anxiety, unrealistic expectations of parenting, grief, or past trauma. Our goal is to support you in your parenting journey and help you build a strong bond with your baby.
