Village Connect - Health Education Officer

The Village Connect, A Parent Hub is an exciting pilot project that aims to support young parents under the age of 25, and their child, giving them the best start on their family journey. The pilot is culturally led and driven, ensuring the voices of the young parents are heard at all levels.

The Health Education Officer role will work directly with parents, 25years and under, to provide formal and informal, individual and group educational experiences with a child development focus.  This role will work with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to the project partners (Uniting and Sonder) to ensure young Mums receive necessary supports in a timely manner. 

**This position requires travel to locations within Southwest Sydney 

Status: Part Time, Fixed Term, 16 Hours a week (2 days) until 30th April 2026 (with potential for possible extension)

Classification: Experienced Health Education Officer (non-graduate/graduate)

We are seeking an experienced community-focused professional who thrives on building strong relationships and fostering meaningful partnerships. In this role, you will support and coordinate Community Hub Leaders working across primary schools in the Fairfield and Bankstown LGAs. Your passion for working with families and diverse communities, combined with your ability to build effective partnerships, will strengthen community connections, and help create welcoming, supportive hubs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of families. 

HOURS: Part-Time 28 hours per week (parental leave cover) up to 30 April 2027
