Just like the support you would receive at one of our parenting centres, but delivered to you in your home. Individual consultations up to 2 hours (video call) with a Karitane child and family health nurse for parenting challenges relating to sleep and settling, breastfeeding, feeding and nutrition, routines, adjusting to parenting and toddlers.Â

The number of virtual home visits you receive will depend on your individual needs and our Intake team will develop the right support plan for your family. Our skilled and caring team work in partnership with your family to assist you identify and achieve your goals.

Who uses virtual home visits?
Families with children birth to 5 years who are experiencing parenting difficulties associated with:
- Sleep and settling
- Feeding and nutrition
- Age appropriate routines
- Multiple babies
- Adjusting to parenting
- Toddler behaviour
- Anxiety and postnatal depression

Newborn to 5 years
How to start the process / what you need to do first
Parents can self-refer on-line here. A referral from a health professional, such as your doctor or a child and family health nurse is also accepted, to find your local child and family health centre, contact HealthDirect on 1800 022 222.
Cost
Karitane virtual home visits is a free health service to the community.
